We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6 month contract paying up to $517 p/day incl. Super. This role is located in Parramatta.  
About the Role
The Technology Officer will be responsible for supervising the development and completion of a range of IT projects in the organisation, as well as resolving any software/hardware related issues with internal and external providers to ensure minimal disruption to business.
Key accountabilities include:

  • Undertake the development and implementation of projects in new software and technology solutions

  • Provide initial and ongoing training to users to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to effectively use the new systems and technology developed

  • Making evidence based recommendations for changes and developments to technology

  • Able to deploy project management skills from initiation to closing phases to implement approved changes on time and within budget 

  • Analyse data collected from various systems and prepare timely reports as requested by Director Language Services

  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels by producing high quality reports

About You

  • Establishing project implementation plans with specific timelines and budgets for the development of new software and technologies for language services

  • Maintaining an overview of the functionality and effectiveness of the systems to identify areas for enhancement and/or remediation which will provide continuous development of technologies used in language services

  • Keeping up to date with developments in the technology and with the needs of a fast paced modern delivery of language services to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders of varying skills, experiences and backgrounds
