This NSW government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW.  We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a 6-month contract paying up to $850 per day excluding super.  This role is located in Sydney CBD+ WFH
 
About the Role
 
Undertake risk management and assurance activities to provide high level compliance and specialist expertise to promote and ensure compliance and minimise risk and exposure to support Government and Organisational objectives. Key accountabilities include:
  •  Develop and maintain an integrated management assurance framework that consolidates business,
    digital and data risk assurance activities to ensure security and minimise risk and exposure
  •  Develop effective and adequate control systems and conduct routine compliance activities to provide
    high assurance and ensure adequate systems of control are in place
  • Provide timely, expert advice and recommendations relating to security controls, business
    operations and system processes related to relevant standards, regulatory provisions and
    processes to provide secure and high-quality solutions and services to customers
  • Plan and conduct monitoring and analysis activities to detect and report potentially suspicious
    activity to proactively mitigate potential risk
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate risk management strategies and controls to minimise the
    risk of cyber-attack, data loss, theft or tampering
  • Lead risk related projects to ensure that business models and supporting systems continually
    mitigate risk to maintain the protection and integrity of data and resources.
  • Monitor, analyse and provide advice to stakeholders on the status of controls and implementation
    of recommendations to identify emerging gaps
  • Provide technical and operational advice and clarification to contribute to secure service
    delivery
 
About You
  • Strong knowledge SOC 2 Compliance and Audit
  • 5-10 Years of experience in relevant fields 
  • Previous government experience preferred 
  • previous completion of full cycle quarterly and yearly Audits 
  • Experience in conducting Audits and provide assurance to DCS clients, management and user entities about the suitability and effectiveness of the organisation’s controls
  • The ability to produce integrated end-to-end solutions to deliver improved organisational performance in line with the department’s strategic plans and objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with and advise stakeholders as well as the ability to analyse complex information, co-ordinate within and across the stakeholder base and draft reports.
  • Good understanding of ICT and Business environments, Service Delivery, Risk and Governance, BPO Services, ISO standards, NSW Government ICT and Cybersecurity policy
