About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Policy Officer to join a NSW Government Agency on an initial 6 month assignment. This team is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation and research to provide evidence based policy across a large platform of initiatives related to freight.

• Research, analyse and review complex policy issues, identifying emerging issues, developing evidence based options, and recommend solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks

• Monitor, evaluate and report on the development and implementation of policies to identify issues and ensure the achievement of desired outcomes

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating their engagement in, and contribution to, the identification and development of policy solutions and to inform policy decision making

  
About You

• Demonstrated background in a senior policy analyst or officer role

• Experience in the analysis, draft and publishing of complex policy portfolios

• Excellent stakeholder management skills

• Demonstrated background in Freight or Logistics policy is highly desirable but not essential
