About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to join a NSW Government Agency on an urgent assignment going until March 2023. The Senior Policy Advisor is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of a range of projects and policy initiatives across the agency.
- Provide expert policy advice and information to the Director and other senior executives to support the development and implementation of policies, projects and initiatives
- Research, analyse and review complex policy and project issues, identifying emerging issues, developing evidence based options, and recommend solutions to resolve problems and inform strategic decision making
- Prepare high quality and insightful written materials (policy papers, meeting papers, reports, strategies, presentations and briefings)
- Lead a range of project management and support activities including preparation of reports, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans to ensure project outcomes are achieved
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated experience in working within reform and planning policy submissions
- Demonstrated experience in policy drafting, cabinet submissions strategy reports
- NSW Government experience is desirable but not essential
