About the company 
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Category Officer - ICT to work for a large NSW government organisation based in Chatswood. 

About the role
  • Accountable for delivery of standard and complex ICT procurement projects and deliverables in high-value and high-risk procurements
  • Manages guides and/or develops internal procurement projects
  • Reviews data sets and proposed process changes to identify negative and positive impacts
  • Reports on findings and obtains feedback
  • Obtains sign-off to implement changes
  • Uses project management and change management principles to introduce, manage and review processes and systems
  • Prepare procurement documentation
  • Develop simple Total Cost of Ownership models for supply arrangements including differentiating between price and overall cost as part of the overall value assessment of supply arrangements
  • Partner with business areas to prepare and plan the procurement negotiation strategy based on sound knowledge, research and structure and thoroughly investigate and research
  • Applies risk management principles and applies guidance to cross functional projects on risk mitigation
About you
  • Minimum 3 years procurement projects experience 
  • Completed undergraduate or strategic procurement qualifications
  • NSW government experience 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
