This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a 9-month contract paying up to $800 per day excluding super.  This role is located in Sydney CBD+ WFH
 
About the Role
 
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the development, design and delivery of systems for the
Passenger Information Portfolio Unit to deliver improved systems and services aligned with stakeholder requirements and organisational goals. The role manages teams of staff (including contractors) to ensure appropriate team capability to effectively deliver and provide training within agreed time and quality requirements. The role is responsible for providing expert technical support and guidance to the business in designing, testing and installing passenger system information. Key accountabilities include:
 
  • Live the NSW Public Sector and organisational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the
    organisation and customers
  • Manage teams of staff (including contractors), including performance management and capability
    development, whilst maintaining high levels of staff engagement and motivation to ensure appropriate
    team capability and effective project delivery within agreed time, cost and quality requirements
  • Manage the development, design and delivery of systems for the Passenger Information Portfolio Unit
    including planning, scoping and scheduling of projects to ensure solutions meet agreed time, cost and
    quality requirements and align to business objectives
  • Provide monthly Project Status Reports including update and monitor project expenditure/forecast vs
    budget, update and monitor project schedules
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to the business in designing, testing and installing
    passenger information systems to ensure issues are resolved effectively, occasionally outside of core
    business hours and at sites across Sydney Trains / NSW Trains network
  • Manage external consultants, contractors and vendors to develop technical, configure and deliver
    enhanced solutions that align to business requirements and technical specifications and monitor
    performance against agreed time, cost and quality requirements through contract management
    processes
  • Maintain and update Project Management documentation to ensure projects adhere to the Sydney
    Trains and TfNSW policies, standards and methodologies.
  • Provide training and manage the development of on-line training modules for station and signal box
    staff as requested of the business unit’s products.
 
 
About You
 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Advanced organisational skills 
  • Highly motivated individual 
  • 4 Years of experience as a Project Manager 
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience in project management in a large complex customer service environment
  • Demonstrated staff management experience including performance management and capability development ensuring high levels of staff engagement and motivation
  • Demonstrated project planning, project management and contract management experience including experience in the completion of projects and reform initiatives to time, cost and quality requirements
