About the Company
This NSW Government Corporation is responsible for the public portfolio of Assets which play a critical role in the communities of NSW. The Finance and Reporting division provides financial management, business reporting and financial and information systems functions across the cluster. This team is responsible for the finances of large construction and property development projects across NSW. 
 
About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Officer who has experience in Project Costing, Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis and who has familiarity with SAP, TRIM, and preferably ARIBA. The Project Finance Officer is responsible for providing financial and statistical analysis to support business objectives and to maintain data integrity in compliance with policies and other statutory requirements.
 
Responsibilities

  • Provide reporting and analysis specific to the team’s role to ensure data accuracy and data integrity are maintained relevant to project cost accruals and project accounting.

  • Provide financial and statistical data analytics to appraise performance and compliance of contractors.

  • Provide analysis and reporting relevant to new supply, asset under construction, project write-off and post key accruals.

  • Support the Director and Manager by providing advice and support on relevant financial matters to enable strategic outcomes.

  • Support relevant business areas to develop financial capability and improve financial business decision making.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior managers and service delivery divisions to exchange information, obtain cooperation and support and provide financial advice.

  • Ensuring financial reporting, analysis and advice is accurate, reliable and high quality to support effective decision making.

About you

  • Experience in financial accounting, project cost accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.

  • Experience in SAP and TRIM desirable

  • Experience in Ariba and any project management system

  • Intermediate Excel (able to use formulas such as vlookup and sumif).

  • Good team player with positive attitude and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia

  • Immediately available to start preferred
