This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a 12-month contract paying up to $820 per day excluding super. This role is located in Parramatta + WFH.
About the Role
The primary role of the Product Owner would be to lead and act as the Primary liaison between the product development team and multiple stakeholders. Key accountabilities include:
Maintaining the product road map
Leading product development by liaising with relevant stakeholders and aligning delivery to product road map and business objectives
Continuous management of the product backlog by ordering items based on priority and value
Determining Sprint Goals for each iteration and taking ownership
Overseeing development of the product by participating in Scrum Events (Planning, Refinement, Review and Sprint)
Creating a channel of continuous feedback to anticipate stakeholder’s needs • Ensuring the product backlog is maintained effectively in JIRA (EPICS / User stories are written with acceptance criteria) and are “READY” for each Sprint iteration
Evaluating product progress at each iteration by inspecting and determining if team’s performance is meeting product’s goal
Determine the business process which is enabled by data flows and have the ability to work with various levels of stakeholders to streamline processes.
We require the candidate who can work independently and be able to devise a strategy on activities
Additionally, the new candidate will need to have sufficient experience in working with team with different skillsets.
Extensive experience in a similar Senior Business Analyst, Project Manager or Product Owner role;
Previous experience leading and driving product development;
You will have proven experience in business process capture and documentation and running effective stakeholder workshops;
You will have strong analytical and influencing skills and have a proven ability to make independent decisions and develop pragmatic and well considered solutions;
Previous experience using Scrum and Agile Methodologies
