About the role
The Procurement Specialist support the Purchasing, Finance and Procurement Services teams in purchasing, processing of Purchase orders, conduct sourcing activities using Equip and SAP Ariba. Working closely with teams across Finance and Procurement Services, Solution Centre and the Centre of Excellence, the Procurement Specialist will have an opportunity to contribute to high levels of service to our customers and facilitate process improvements.
  Key Responsibilities
  • Process purchase requisitions / orders within purchasing authority.
  • Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals.
  • Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports and price lists.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Administer contract performance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues via a range of ERP systems and technologies.
  • The position also provides on-job guidance to increase system adoption by end users.
About you  
  • 3+years’ experience working in Procurement within a large organisation
  • Government experience beneficial but not required
  • Experience with SAP and/or Ariba preferred
  • Previous experience in shared services environment beneficial
  • Excellent customer service
