About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced procurement officer to join a NSW Government on an initial 5 month assignment. This role will provide expert advice on vendors, development policies, procedures to stakeholders.
- Lead end to end procurement activities for the Agency
- Proactively identify and address procurement risks and mitigation strategies to meet organisational compliance requirements
- Partner with key business stakeholders to develop innovative supply strategies to meet specific business needs, manage risk and deliver value for money
- Provide and or update procurement reports, assist with procurement related projects and input into procurement systems
- Research, develop and implement procurement capability development initiatives to support effective
procurement outcomes across the organisation - Plan and lead development of tender documentation, participate in tender evaluation meetings to
ensure value for money outcomes - Proactively identify and address procurement risks and mitigation strategies to meet organisational
compliance requirements
About You
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in end to end procurement processes
- Demonstrated experience in procurement planning, sourcing and contract management
- NSW Government experience is desirable but not essential
