About the Role
We are currently seeking a Policy Manager to join a NSW Government Agency on a 6 month initial assignment. This role is responsible for managing small agile teams of policy officers, lead a range of policy projects and develop regulatory reform proposals within the Freight Branch.
  

  • Research, analyse and review complex policy issues, identifying emerging issues, developing evidence based options, and recommend solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks

  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the development and implementation of policies to identify issues and ensure the achievement of desired outcomes

  • Drive and manage policy initiatives, as well as influencing other areas of Government to achieve the strategic objectives of the Freight Branch

  
About You

  • Demonstrated experience in leading multiple policy projects and the proven ability to manage agile teams and deliver results

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a large variety of stakeholders

  • Excellent written communication skills with a capacity to gather and analyse complex information and present it in a logical, systematic and clear format

  • Demonstrated background in Freight or Logistics policy is highly desirable but not essential

  • Demonstrated background in Economics is highly desirable but not essential
