About the Role
The Payroll Optimisation Lead is responsible for supporting the optimisation of the end-to-end payroll services and operations, along with ensuring alignment with the broader People systems strategy.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities to optimise payroll services effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Optimise Payroll system enhancement and streamlining processes.
  • Act as the SME for changing legislative and compliance requirements and recommend process improvements for management of risk and control processes and engagement with auditors.
  • Drive improvements in payroll services tools and policies through external market trends, insight, and internal best practice.
  • Provide solutions to payroll system issues and guide implementation in conjunction with payroll and systems administration team.
  • Design a clear payroll services strategy and operational plans, prior to implementation.
  • Provide advice and guidance to broader payroll team on SAP/SuccessFactors.
  • Work with Systems Administration team to implement enhancements.
  • Set strategic direction and clear roadblocks to achieve process improvement and create enhanced execution excellence.
  • Prepare and deliver insightful and useful reporting.
  • Develop board reports and briefing papers and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Advise the team on how to resolve pay related matters.
About You
  • Tertiary level qualification in finance or a specific payroll course equivalent knowledge and skills gained through extensive practical experience
  • Extensive SAP/SuccessFactors essential.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in managing complex payroll including employees paid under Awards and/or Enterprise Agreements.
  • Deep experience in implementation process improvements
