About the Role
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation and coordination of marketing and communication strategies and plans for marketing campaigns to inform customers of the services and initiatives of the NSW Government. The role has autonomy and makes executive decisions. You will be fully accountable for the delivery of work assignments on time and to expectations in terms of quality, deliverables and outcomes. This position also may have up to 9 direct reports.
Key accountabilities include:
- Lead the development and implementation of quality marketing and communication campaigns/programs to promote key NSW Government services and initiatives
- Develop proposals for marketing and communication activities for approval, cost and evaluate alternatives, control expenditures, and receive, review and organise approved payments of invoices, to achieve best value for money and to ensure budget targets are achieved
- Manage the communication and advertising of services and service changes to specific market segments through media advertising
- Lead market research involving customers and client groups
- Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis on customer feedback to determine trends for marketing planning
- Develop and maintain productive relationships to capture all possible marketing opportunities
- Lead, plan and coordinate resources to manage the delivery of campaigns
- Develop a high public profile and increase opportunities to capitalise on its share of the customer service market
About You
- Tertiary qualification and extensive background in communications, public relations, journalism or relevant/demonstrated equivalent experience
- Proven experience working in a lead communications and marketing role on large transformation projects, with digital and customer outcomes focus
- Demonstrated broad experience in leading a team of highly experienced marketing professionals across senior marketing and communications roles
- Experience managing a complex range of stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomous, meet strict deadlines and have excellent time management skills
- Strong levels of communication and interpersonal skills
