This NSW government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6 month contract paying up to $1045 p/day incl. Super. This role is located in Sydney CBD.  

About the Role
 
The ICT Technical Manager will work with a team to create a mapping platform. The candidate will also need to have demonstrated experience working within an agile environment, with previous experience as a Scrum Master a bonus.
 
Key accountabilities include:

  • Manage the consistent use of agreed tools and methods to address and resolve user identified problems in line with service level agreements

  • Define and monitor compliance with processes for the set-up and installation of hardware, software, applications, peripherals and other ICT-based systems to agreed service levels

  • Escalate performance issues with internal and/or external providers to minimise adverse impact of systems availability on business continuity

  • Manage the currency and validity of ICT reference materials to ensure team members are able to access and apply up-to-date solutions for known issues

  • Report against performance metrics to highlight areas where applications development, vendor relationship management or strategic infrastructure modifications are required for enhancing business performance and efficiency

About You

  • 5 + years’ experience as a technical manager/lead 

  • Demonstrated experience working within an agile environment essential

  • Demonstrated experience working on a cloud-based product, especially Azure 

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Scrum Master

  • Strong Vendor Management experience 

  • Agile and Scrum certifications

  • Experience documenting with Jira and Confluence a bonus
