This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW.  We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a 6-month contract paying up to  $800 per day excluding super.  This role is located in Queanbeyan, Newcastle, Dubbo, Coffs Harbour + WFH.
 
About the Role

The Systems and Network Support/Administrator provides technical support for the day to day operations of the organisation’s ICT systems.  The role is responsible for the installation, monitoring and maintenance of the organisation’s ICT network and associated hardware and software. Key accountabilities include:

  • Ensure a high level of Information and Communication Technology support is provided to customers at all times, managing expectations and meeting or exceeding service level agreements

  • Manage the consistent use of agreed tools and methods to address and resolve user identified problems in line with service level agreements

  • Escalate performance issues with internal and/or external providers to minimise adverse impact of systems availability on business continuity

  • Coordinate set-up activities for the organisation’s computers, printers, multifunction devices, audio-visual equipment and other information systems to meet organisational demand for service delivery.

  • Deploy local, wide area and core networking infrastructure solutions consistent with the organisation’s strategic requirements

  • Assist with network monitoring and analysis; performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating problems as necessary to maintain network performance to meet user demand

  • Assist with network access, monitoring, control, evaluation and documentation practices used to secure the organisation’s network

  • Perform operational procedures and tasks reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages

 
About You 

  • 2+ years' experience in a Technical Support or similar role

  • Experience with Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, File Services, DNS and DHCP)

  • Experience with Exchange Online - Office 365 (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)

  • Experience with cloud hosted systems (Microsoft Azure)

  • Experience of diagnosing network and server issues, following them through to resolution.

  • Exposure to scripting basics.

  • Administration of technology solutions and support of customers on technology based products

  • Systems and configuration of technology solutions including planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance and support of complex ICT systems
