About the Company

This is an exciting opportunity for an HR Business partner to work for a NSW Government organisation on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be a mix of work from home and in the CBD office. 

About the role
  • Build and maintain effective business partnerships relationships with Directors and Managers to influence decision making and ensure people management practices are ethical, aligned with the enterprise strategy and cultural change program
  • Ensure business leaders are provided with timely and accurate HR information and reports to aid effective decision making
  • Assist in identifying; contribute to the design and development; and lead or support the implementation of HR strategies, policies and programs across the organisation
  • Ensure the alignment of all HR systems, processes and programs to achieve strategic and operational business success consistent with SOH values
  • Provide business leaders and employees with consistent, high quality, timely and expert human resources advice, support and solutions and professional human resources services throughout the employee life cycle, including recruitment, contracting, position establishment, on-boarding, exits and termination
  • Ensure compliance and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of industrial / enterprise agreements ensuring a strong link between employment conditions and business outcomes and development
  • Maintain effective employee relations by building and maintaining strong, professional and conciliatory relationships with employees and their representatives
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of contemporary human resource development, methodologies, changing legislative requirements and initiatives, and industry and HR best practice trends
  • Draw on professional knowledge and experience to contribute professional advice and support the human resources team and work collaboratively with colleagues in People & Culture to ensure an integrated, coordinated and seamless delivery of people management strategies, initiatives and services
About You
  • Minimum 5 years HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deal with senior stakeholders
