About the role
The primary purpose of the role is to support the development, implementation and maintenance of an enterprise governance framework and best practice governance processes. The role ensures the effective and efficient operation of governance committees and alignment of agendas with strategic priorities. It also provides for innovative and solution-focused management, review and improvement of governance processes. The role offers a balance of managing systems and technology, collaborating with executives and staff across the cluster, and being on the forefront of continuous improvement and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert governance guidance on the efficient and effective operations of governance committees, facilitating effective, strategic, and evidence-based decision making. 
  • Critically review papers to ensure the quality of material submitted and follow up where clarity or repositioning is required.
  • Assist in the regular review of governance processes including analysing existing processes, recommending, and implementing changes, documenting new process and procedures to support compliance, continuous improvement, and innovative best practice in governance.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining cross-cluster governance community of practice and system governance groups.
  • Assist in the management, reporting and review of the Compliance Framework.
  • Draft responses to requests for information, briefing notes, high level correspondence, Parliamentary information, and Cabinet submissions, ensuring consistency with other public messaging and information, and delivering in a timely, high quality and accurate manner.
  • Provide project assistance and advise on opportunities for improvement regarding deliverables
  • Implementing frameworks for governance across multiple divisions 
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and management requests to support decision-making and to optimise operational effectiveness. 
About you
  • Relevant industry experience or tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline 
  • Governance Experience Preferred
  • Proven results in Process Improvement, Project Management, Operations Management and Government Project Management
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • Immediately Available Candidates Preferred
