This NSW government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. Our client is currently going through a systems transformation and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for a 6-month contract, based in the CBD w/WFH and paying up to $860 per day excluding super. 
About the Role 
The primary focus of this role is to work with Group Finance users in Statutory and Management Reporting teams and assist in developing an IT solution (SAP) for capturing and reporting of data, with SAP, for different accounting standards. Provide leadership and direction to the Technical team to help realise the company initiatives, strategy and framework for use by the Systems Integrators and Agency stakeholders. 

Key accountabilities include:
  • Establish and maintain an effective governance mechanism for the evolution of Integration standards and promoting further uptake to lower costs and risks for future Cluster initiatives.
  • Capture demand and prioritise activities by facilitating the appropriate level of stakeholder operational governance to ensure full visibility.
  • Manage Audit and Segregation of Duties issues and role remediation for the Solutions in place when access is assigned.
  • Ensure that the compliance with these rules is embedded into the approval and user provisioning processes.
  • Provide access risk monitoring is in place and been managed and reported.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership across the Cluster, acting as a ‘go-to’ person for questions relating to the Solutions specific to Group Reporting.
  • Provide innovation in effectively utilising standard design principles and services to optimise outcomes and reduce risks and contributes to assurance around design governance.
  • Develops and reviews processes for new business initiatives involving administration and monitoring and the impact of those changes on risks.
  • Provides and subject matter expertise on process improvement initiatives 

About You 
  • Self-motivated personality and ability to deal effectively with ambiguity. 
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting w/previous experience within a SAP finance environment preferred 
  • Experience with end-to-end process creation and mapping
  • Must have experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies desired
  • Ability to work with an agile workflow  
  • Ability to problem solve in complex situations 
  • Must be Citizen or Permanent resident
