About the Role
In this Part-Time Role, in the CBD, you'll be reporting to the General Manager and working closely with key executives the responsibilities would be:
  • Managing business cashflow and day-to-day finance activity and systems, including reconciliation, authorising payments (debtors and creditors) and handling business essentials like insurances in a timely way
  • Updating and reporting on company budgets, forecasts and actuals for executive approval and team budgets for managers
  • Preparing and submitting tax and compliance obligations, including company tax return and statements, BAS, activity statements, FBT and STP payroll requirements
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable duties
  • Manage creditor and debtor invoicing, receipts and payments on a daily basis making sure nothing falls behind
  • Perform bank reconciliations for all companies on a weekly basis
  • Managing team activity data for finance analysis and reporting, including board reporting
  • Writing and/or implementing finance related policies and procedures  
  • Implementing process improvement and cost savings initiatives
  • Supporting corporate finance servicing activities, such as managing certain supplier relationships and processes
  • Using and improving our systems, processes, and policies
  • Liaising with executives to ensure key business decisions are in line with the strategic goals and financial model

Candidates must have:
  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting and be CA/CPA qualified
  • At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience 
  • Strong MYOB & Excel skills
  • Exposure to large company environments will prepare you for the rigors and expectations of this role
  • Incredibly fastidious in all aspects of your presentation you will also possess solid excel skills (modelling and formulas) 
  • Extensive experience in management reporting
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment 
  • Any experience in the recruitment industry beneficial but not essential preferably using Fieldglass, Beeline, Astute.
