About the Role
Provide quality input in development and delivery of high-profile projects from a financial perspective. By collaborating and consulting with various project team members, the role gains understanding of the projects with multiple streams of work and offers interpretation of high-level financial information to stakeholders within the department.
  • Provide financial perspective to a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established project management methodology.
  • Provide critical analysis of financial information to inform project operations in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and generate reports, ensuring that requirements are met and delivered.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders are informed regarding the financial aspects of the project.
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures, by lending a financial perspective, in consultation with internal stakeholders i.e. Director/Senior Manager/Manager.
  • Understand the existing legislation, framework and guidelines governing processes and procedures.
  • Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project risks and issues, with a focus on finance.
 About you
  • 3+ years of experience in project support, project coordination, project administration or project accounting
  • Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Government experience highly regarded
  • Basic Accounting; P&L, General Ledger WIP.
  • Techniques and methods in project management
  • Immediately available candidates preferred
  • Citizenship or Permanent residency required
