About the Role
 
The Data Analyst role is a 3-month contract, paying up to $510 per day excluding Super.  A successful candidate for the role will be responsible for:
  • create Microsoft Power Automation scripts to streamline systems and data activities
  • design and develop Power Apps to improve systems user experience and efficiency create new and enhance existing Power BI reports
  • ensure data quality and the ability to maintain systems supporting DELIVERY, AMU and the departmental reporting structure.
  • provide critical data support for increased levels of reporting as the BASC Program moves into the delivery phase.
  • Acquire data from multiple resources to support the data collection, analysis, interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy with all data management
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of technology relevant to the work unit
  • Understand, act on and monitor compliance with information and communications security and use policies
  • Well-developed skill data visualisation
About You
 
To be successful in this role your CV will highlight much of the following:
  • Advanced Power BI Skills – data modelling, DAX and visualisation
  • A history of creating and improving PowerBI reports
  • Previous experience working as a data analyst (ideally for a government or large enterprise company)
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automation
  • Well-developed skill data visualisation
  • Ability to identify, analyse, and interpret trends of patterns in complex data sets
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to developing strong and trusting relationships and proactively through recommending intelligent insights driven solutions that solve the sometimes unanswered business questions.
