About the Role We are currently seeking to appoint a Cyber Security Consultant with a leading NSW Government agency. The Cyber Security Consultant will take responsibility for providing complex cyber security, advice, awareness, resilience and/or training initiatives for Cyber Security to improve organisational or whole-of-government cyber security capability. Key accountabilities include:
- Build and manage cyber range systems for the purposes of cyber exercises, in particular functional exercises to ensure and enhance organisational or whole-of-government cyber security capability
- Represent the organisation at relevant working groups and produce briefing notes and other reporting to drive best practice and information sharing to governance groups
- Lead organisational and/or Government policy and initiatives, through the provision of cyber security related advice, information and/or training to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of cyber security
- Develop best practice cyber security policies, standards, reporting protocols, ICT contracts, risk assessments and/or the design and delivery of cyber security training to improve cyber security capability and awareness
About You
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Proven ability to work on simultaneous policy, governance and/or training initiatives and projects to the required standards and timeframes, given the need to rapidly understand and integrate information and adapt in an often changing and unpredictable environment
- Previous experience undertaking qualitative research across large data sets to understand behavioural changes from cyber awareness training methods
