About the role

  • Creating robust, scalable processes in which to deliver policy and compliance objectives in product areas and general infrastructure

  • Providing guidance and expertise on governance and security frameworks to maintain Information Security policies, standards and guidelines to comply with applicable standards, legislation and regulations

  • Reviewing products, services and technologies with a security and privacy lens

  • Providing security related risk assessments, assurance reviews and advice across a broad range of technologies and services

  • Implementing and continually improving the Governance suite to enhance our cyber security capabilities across the organisation

  • Perform internal controls assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and drive the development of action plans with stakeholders to ensure ongoing controls effectiveness within the organisation

  • Research and analysis of emerging cyber threats and risks and how that may impact the organisation

  • Provide guidance and coaching to ensure skills uplift within the immediate team and assist in creating a security and privacy aware culture within the organisation.

About You

  • An understanding of relevant standards and frameworks such as ISO27001, ISO31000, NIST, CIS, CSA, ISM, and the NSW Cyber Security Policy (CSP)

  • Experience in developing best practice policies, guidance materials and business processes

  • Knowledge of cyber security policy subject matter

  • An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Experience preparing reviews, assessments and reports

  • Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills with the ability to cooperate in forums such as working groups, committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations

  • An ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge on ICT, cyber security and cyber risk trends

  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of cyber security policy subject matter

  • Qualifications, certifications or experience relevant to cyber security will be highly regarded
