About the company 

This is a great opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join a large NSW government organisation. This role is based in Parramatta but will be working from home until restrictions ease. 

About the role

  • Manage the negotiation and agreement of commercial matters including new contracts and contract amendments to deliver value for money and agreed business outcomes.

  • Manage changes over the life of the contract, ensure suppliers deliver to the requirements of the contract, and monitor and analyse supplier performance to ensure that goods and services are provided in line with agreed conditions.

  • Establish deep and effective working relationships with the internal ticketing organisation to leverage the breadth of expertise in managing strategic supplier contracts

  • Manage the ongoing administration and variation of contracts, including compliance with agreed performance KPIs, to ensure that issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Establish and maintain the appropriate operating rhythm with contractors to ensure regular and appropriate contact is maintained and coordinated with the contractor on issues related to contract administration

  • Provide expert contractual advice, and develop a framework to deliver comprehensive reports on a wide range of contracting issues for senior management, to support effective decision making.

  • Monitor, analyse and review the effectiveness and operation of contracts to provide recommendations to continuously improve supplier management processes and tools.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent commercial business experience

  • Extensive contract management experience at a senior level with responsibility for commercial aspects, including contract preparation, negotiation and administration and dispute resolution
