About the Role
Produce, or facilitate the production of, communications content across a variety of formats to deliver the department's marketing and communications strategy and to promote the policy priorities of the department to inform and influence the community and uphold the department’s reputation among key stakeholders.
Draft communications content and materials to provide quality, accurate and relevant information to stakeholders.
Undertake a range of communications activities to support the government's policy and operational priorities.
Communicate key messages relating to initiatives and service delivery.
Provide coordination, logistical, tracking and reporting services for communications projects to enable the efficient and effective communication of developments and information to the community.
Undertake research to provide input to the development of communications programs and materials.
Prepare a range of data for managers and other key stakeholders, including status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers that are timely, accurate and relevant.
Supporting the delivery of a range of communications initiatives of varying size to contribute to their being delivered on time, on budget and meeting the needs of the department and its customers.
Understanding programs, policies and developments and government strategies and announcements to enable development of communications that are effective in reaching target audiences.
Providing a wide range of services to the team in an environment of changing priorities and where projects may involve a complicated project delivery schedule.
Represent the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way.
