This Government Department is responsible for the delivery of digital solutions for care and business services, supported by smart infrastructure, providing a digitally enabled and integrated system. They are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and flexible workforce, which reflects the community and customers. We are looking for someone to start this 6 month contract role offering up to $715 per day inc. super.

About the Role 

The Communications Business Partner is responsible for supporting the provision of best practice communication advice and assisting with delivering communications support for the Directorate aligned with the Department's priorities and customer’s needs. The role will assist with implementing external and internal communication activities in line with the Department's brand guidelines across multiple channels, campaign areas and audiences.
  • Partner and work with key internal stakeholders to develop strategies that effectively engage the Department's employees and their customers, with a focus on two-way communication and feedback.
  • Provide support to project teams, including Program Managers, on internal and external communications.
  • Design, develop and manage communication and stakeholder engagement pieces for multiple projects.
  • Partner with Program Managers to develop and implement a successful engagement communication plan to ensure all stakeholders are prepared and ready for the changes that will drive positive project outcomes.
  • Develop a range of innovative communication and engagement tools and materials (written, images and video) to drive communication objectives which compliments the overall business communication strategy and brand profile
  • Develop and manage strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Tracking and reporting on all communication activities
About You 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing internal and external communication campaigns to meet business objectives with a range of audiences across multiple communication channels, in a large and complex/diverse service industry. This includes relevant qualifications (e.g. Communications, Change, Marketing, Journalism) or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to provide advice on communication best practice and support project communication activities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with experience engaging, collaborating and influencing key stakeholders and customers to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated expertise in producing engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences across both traditional and digital formats. This includes the ability to translate technical information into plain English and construct convincing messages that will educate and persuade diverse
    audiences.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding communications team with proven capacity to manage multiple communication projects at the same time. This includes meeting specified outcomes and time frames, while anticipating problems, developing contingencies and negotiating solutions.
  • Experience producing communication assets using Microsoft Office applications as well as experience with electronic direct mail, content management systems and digital content production.
