About the role

The commercial analyst will be responsible for the strategic operations of the business, including inventory, sales and operations planning. It is critical that this role will liaise with co-founders, the marketing director and distribution partners to streamline the financial and operational processes. Key responsibilities will Include:
  • Maintain and continuously improve Sales & Operating Planning (S&OP) and inventory management systems and processes.
  • Work with all relevant parties, particularly sales, marketing and manufacturing partners to deliver on forecasting and inventory management targets.
  • Ensure inputs for S&OP are prepared for key milestones including budget management & reporting.
  • Lead and continue to develop KPI and Scorecard reporting.
  • Proactively seek out tools, frameworks, models and innovative ways improve business processes.
  • Management of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support management reporting for delivery to key stakeholders, internal and external Provide finance support in preparation for critical funding milestones

  • Develop continuous COGS improvement programme, including approaches to drive SKU profitability
  • Lead research into new suppliers, creating future networks of potential partners
About you
  • 3+ years’ experience in the consumer space in a finance or operations role.
  • FMCG industry expertise
  • Physical and digital retail experience is crucial.
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • CA or CPA qualification is desirable.
  • Financial acumen and affinity with numbers and reporting
  • Basic accounting (book-keeping) and management reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Project management skills and the ability to develop and implement new processes, standards, or operational plans
  • Extremely comfortable with data analytics, with highly developed excel skills
  • Detail orientated & systems savvy
  • Full working rights in Australia
