This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6-month contract paying up to $900/ Day + Super. This role is located in Macquarie Park

About the Role
We are currently seeking to appoint a Business Analyst with a leading NSW Government agency. The Business Analyst leads the review and analysis of the business intentions and will be working closely with other teams within the business unit to achieve the desired outcome. Key accountabilities include:

  • Providing advise to projects on appropriate assurance pathways including tools, templates and technologies to utilise
  • Provide project reports to key stakeholders to ensure key project information is communicated promptly
  • Coordinate and manage project governance ensuring that the projects aligns with the allocated portfolio
  • Monitor the delivery of projects to ensure project delivery is within approved funding and aligns with the project scope
  • Communicating with both the EPMO and PMO teams to implement new processes and procedures  


About You

  • High level capability of process mapping, documenting workflows and project lifecycle documents
  • Previous experience conducting reviews of business case information such as project estimates, schedules, delivery approach, financials and resource plans to ensure the projects can be achieved according the business requirements
  • Proven ability to provide high level feedback around quality assurance on reported information including progress updates, project health, time, cost, benefits and risks
  • Proven ability to conduct analysis of project health to uncover potential issues and report findings to stakeholders with a recommended course of action 
  • A highly motivated individual who presents the ability to operate autonomously
