About the role

This a fantastic Accountant role to work with the close-knit senior management team. You will report to the MD as well as the General Manager. This is a straightforward, yet pivotal role where you will be primarily responsible for:
  • Prepare financial statements (Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet) for presentation to the management team
  • Maintain integrity of general ledger
  • Ensure internal and external financial reporting integrity and accuracy
  • Ensure key finance policies are adhered to
  • Monthly accruals & reconciliations
  • Supporting auditing projects
  • Journal preparation, expense review and analysis
  • Review and confirm accuracy of Debtors and Creditors weekly and update cash flow to reflect trend in Debtor and Creditor movements
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Corporate order invoicing and debtor monitoring
  • Enter supplier invoices and advise on payments required
  • Assisting in the month end process
  • Liaising with external accounting firm
  • Payroll of staff both casuals and permanent staff
About you

We are looking for the X factor. You will have the following skills:
  • CA/CPA Qualified with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in MYOB
  • Experience in Astute payroll nice to have
  • Advanced Excel skills are critical
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, abstract problem solver, broad thinker with an analytical mindset
  • Demonstrated understanding of finance regulations and legislation
  • Strong organisational skills; including the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines
  • Highly adaptable; ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to drive necessary change
