Overview:

This Analyst role will play a key role in an Accessibility Review Project, assessing and documenting the accessibility compliance of business systems. The role will identify gaps against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, supporting future improvements and ensuring digital inclusivity across all platforms.

What you'll do:
  • Conduct analysis of technology systems to assess compliance with WCAG 2.2 standards.
  • Document accessibility nonconformities and prioritise findings based on system usage and business impact.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and accessibility requirement sessions.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to understand business priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance user experience and business value through accessibility improvements.
  • Provide accurate advice on accessibility issues and solutions to inform system change requirements.
  • Identify potential risks and propose viable mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in complex business system environments with a focus on human-centred design, UX/UI design, and accessibility implementation.
  • Detailed understanding of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and experience implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Knowledge of assistive tools and technologies that support improved accessibility in technology systems.
  • Experience with visualisation techniques such as journey mapping, storytelling, and service mapping.
  • Proven systems analysis skills using Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders to manage expectations and reach agreement.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, government policies, and public sector frameworks.
