Overview
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to join the Infrastructure & Operations team to support a critical project delivering all infrastructure and associated operations for a large state program. The project scope includes Device as a Service, Networking, Mobile Phones, and Telephony.
About the Role
As the Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and coordination of testing activities to ensure ICT solutions are delivered in line with business requirements, solution design, and operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and coordination of testing activities across solutions
- Manage the timely completion of test activities across appropriate environments to meet implementation and acceptance requirements
- Analyse requirements to develop test strategies, plans, and User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases
- Manage testing dependencies across interfacing project streams and technologies
- Monitor and report on test progress and status, analyse results, and manage defects including triage, replication, verification, and resolution support
- Identify testing risks and issues, providing recommendations or escalation as required
- Provide expert advice on time estimation and the sizing of testing tasks and plans
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, providing guidance on test lifecycle activities
- Oversee all testing activities across the project lifecycle, including work delivered by suppliers, ICT staff, customers, and subcontractors
- Support and contribute to a safe working environment aligned with organisational WHS systems and processes
- Strong working knowledge of ICT Infrastructure & Operations, including End User Compute, Networking, and Telephony systems ( mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience across all phases of the test lifecycle, including implementation of testing frameworks in Waterfall or Hybrid methodologies
- Experience coordinating organisation-wide testing activities, including customer acceptance and user experience testing
- Proven ability to work with suppliers, with strong supplier relationship management skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Solid understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and tools
- Experience with testing tools such as JIRA and Zephyr
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science, testing certifications, and/or equivalent professional experience
