An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Talent Management Officer to join a high-performing People and Performance team within local government.
 
This role is ideal for a recruitment professional with strong end-to-end talent acquisition experience who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, delivering exceptional candidate experiences and contributing to workforce initiatives within a complex organisation.
 
About the Role
 
The Talent Management Officer is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, supporting hiring managers across multiple business units and ensuring recruitment activities are delivered efficiently, professionally and in line with policy and compliance requirements.
You will play a key role in attracting quality talent, coordinating onboarding processes and contributing to broader workforce and youth development initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across a variety of business units
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to deliver tailored recruitment solutions
  • Manage recruitment workflows through HRIS platforms ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Draft engaging job advertisements aligned with employer branding
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks including Police Checks, WWCC, reference checks and qualification verification
  • Prepare contracts and letters of offer
  • Facilitate onboarding and support a positive employee experience for new starters
  • Support contingent workforce processes in collaboration with the Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  • Assist with youth-focused initiatives including trainee, apprentice, graduate and work experience programs
  • Promote diversity, inclusion and equitable recruitment practices
About You
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment within a complex or multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience using HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors or similar platforms
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding candidate and onboarding experiences
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion and best-practice recruitment
Desirable
  • Qualifications in HR, IR, ER or related discipline
  • Accreditation in SHL Psychometric Testing
  • Accreditation in Targeted Selection Interviewing
