Solution Architect - NV1 Clearance Required

An Australian Government organisation is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support the delivery of large-scale digital and ICT transformation initiatives. This role suits a hands-on architect who can bridge business and technology, provide architectural governance, and work effectively within Agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solution architectures for complex, enterprise systems
• Provide architectural governance and technical leadership across multiple work streams
• Design scalable cloud, on-premises, and hybrid solutions aligned to enterprise standards
• Evaluate architectural options and trade-offs relating to cost, performance, scalability, and risk
• Produce clear, high-quality architecture documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with security, technical, and governance frameworks
• Support Agile delivery teams with architectural guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Assess and manage architecture changes and deviations through governance processes
• Build strong working relationships across IT, business, and external stakeholders

Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years’ experience as a Solution / Application Architect on large-scale transformation programs
• Strong experience designing solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments
• Proven experience translating business requirements into fit-for-purpose technical solutions
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft and Azure technologies, including:
  
  • Microsoft 365
  • Azure DevOps
  • Azure API Management
  • Azure Application Service Environments
  • Azure Functions and Logic Apps
  • Azure Service Bus
• Experience with modern application and integration frameworks, including:
  
  • Blazor, React, and other SPA frameworks
  • RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, and HATEOAS
  • Asynchronous integration patterns
  • Composable application architectures
  • Data microservices
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in plain English

Security Requirements

• Active Baseline Security Clearance or NV1 Clearance is mandatory prior to commencement
