About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Senior JavaScript Developer
to join a high-performing Data Platforms Applications team
within a large government department.
In this role, you’ll be developing and maintaining complex software applications that support data-driven decision making, risk management, and intelligence functions across a major enterprise environment.
You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary Agile team — including technical leads, business analysts, solution architects, testers, and product owners — to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with enterprise architecture and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior JavaScript Developer, you will:
- Develop complex software applications using modern JavaScript technologies to meet business and user needs.
- Develop and maintain automated unit testing and Azure DevOps Pipelines for CI/CD, security scanning, and QA.
- Manage security vulnerability remediation, dependency updates, and code reviews.
Essential Criteria:
- 5+ years’ experience with JavaScript technologies.
- 1+ years’ experience working with applications hosted in AWS Cloud environments.
- Experience with:
- React, TypeScript, CSS (including Less CSS), and HTML
- RESTful and SOAP Web Services
- Git with Azure DevOps for source control
- Azure Pipelines and related Azure technologies
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain large-scale systems in complex ICT environments.
- Hold Baseline Clearance
- Experience in Government is desirable
- Canberra based (hybrid 2 days in office)
