We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join a high-performing digital delivery team supporting the development of secure, scalable and reliable systems for a major NSW Government organisation. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development and delivery of high-quality digital solutions that support strategic initiatives across multiple platforms. Working closely with product managers, platform teams and technical specialists, you will help deliver robust software solutions from concept through to deployment, ensuring systems are secure, maintainable and aligned with enterprise digital strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance high-quality software solutions aligned with organisational ICT and digital strategies
- Deliver conceptual approaches, technical recommendations and development estimates to support system implementation
- Build and maintain full-stack applications using modern development frameworks and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers and product teams to deliver valuable working software and digital services
- Support the full development lifecycle including build, testing, release, maintenance and enhancement
- Apply security controls and best practice engineering standards to ensure reliable and compliant systems
- Contribute to operational procedures, performance strategies and configuration practices to ensure consistent delivery
- Provide expert support for system design, testing and troubleshooting to minimise operational risk
- Balancing competing business, customer and technical priorities in a complex and evolving digital environment
- Working collaboratively with platform and release teams to deliver efficient and scalable solutions
- Delivering high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines and fast-paced delivery cycles
- 8+ years experience in software development
- Strong Full Stack development experience
- Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot
- ReactJS front-end development
- API development and integration
- Experience working with JSON files and schemas
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, New Relic or similar
- Strong understanding of MySQL databases
- Experience with containers and container platforms(e.g. Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
- Experience with Apigee API management
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance if required
