Ashdown is partnering with a local government organisation based in Blacktown to assist in sourcing an experienced Project Officer for a 6 Month initial term!
The role involves developing and guiding strategic plans and projects to improve waste, recycling and circular economy services across the organisation's remit, including initiatives like food recycling and master planning. It supports stakeholders through planning advice, development application reviews, and the creation of waste management resources, while also contributing to procurement processes and service agreements. Additionally, this position provides expert advice to government and industry, fosters partnerships and represents the organisation in strategic forums to address critical waste challenges and drive innovative solutions.
The right person for this role will have strong qualifications or relevant experience in Waste/Environment Management, ideally in a government context. They will also have demonstrated experience in Project Support and solid understanding of waste related legislation.
