Ashdown has partnered with a local government client based in Sydney's CBD to assist in finding an experienced Senior .NET Technical Lead to join their Technology Services Division on a short-term contract, with the view to transition to a permanent arrangement. Initially, a 12 months contract will be arranged and following this term a permanent position will be available for the contractor to transfer into. 

NOTE: If not interested in the permanent role, candidates need not apply. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and engineers.
  • Design, develop and implement solutions within .NET frameworks for enterprise environments.
  • Manage development and production environments, CI/CD pipelines, and technical governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure seamless delivery and integration.
  • Oversee progress reporting, change management, and risk mitigation activities.
Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years in .NET development, including recent technical leadership.
  • Strong experience across on-premise and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, solution design, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Desirable: experience with Sitecore, BizTalk, or Dynamics CRM.


The contract rate for this position is $1086/day + Super, and the salary for the permanent role will be $171,174 + Super per annum, as well as related benefits such as Paid Annual & Parental Leave, a rostered day off each month, a salary progression scheme and long service leave.
