- Lead the engineering and continuous improvement of Linux Standard Operating Environments (SOEs), primarily Ubuntu 22 and 24, with some RHEL environments.
- Define and implement platform standards relating to:
- Security hardening
- Availability and resilience
- Performance and capacity planning
- Lifecycle and patch management
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for complex Linux platform changes and infrastructure initiatives.
- Drive automation and engineering best practices across the environment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support platform reliability, scalability, and operational outcomes.
You will ideally have:
- Extensive experience supporting enterprise Linux environments
- Strong expertise across Ubuntu and/or RHEL platforms
- Experience with Linux SOE design and management
- Knowledge of security hardening and infrastructure best practices
- Strong automation and scripting capability
- Experience working within complex or government environments
Security Requirements
Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance. Candidates with Baseline clearance and the ability to obtain NV1 will also be considered. Successful applicants must complete the Agency Suitability Assessment (ASA) prior to commencement.
If you are a highly capable Linux engineer looking to contribute to large-scale infrastructure and platform transformation initiatives, we encourage you to apply.
