A local council is seeking a proactive Return to Work Partner to support employees and managers in achieving safe, timely, and effective return-to-work outcomes.
This on-site role focuses on coordinating rehabilitation and recovery plans for injured employees, providing expert advice on injury management, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Focus of the role is Return to Work not WHS/wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate return-to-work programs and workplace rehabilitation plans.
- Provide guidance and support to staff and managers on injury management.
- Maintain accurate RTW records and manage reporting requirements.
- Liaise with workers’ compensation providers, treating practitioners, and rehab providers.
- Assist with audits, program coordination, and process improvement initiatives.
- Promote a safe and supportive workplace culture.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Work Health & Safety or Return to Work.
- Completion of an approved Return to Work Coordination course (Work Cover or equivalent).
- Strong ability to apply, interpret, and communicate injury management processes.
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
- Experience developing and implementing WHS Management Systems.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement frameworks or business excellence practices
