About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join a major infrastructure program, supporting the successful planning and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Working within a high-performing PMO, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing integrated project schedules across multiple workstreams, ensuring schedule integrity, accurate reporting, and alignment with project baselines.
 
This role requires strong Primavera P6 expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate integrated project schedules across multiple programs of work.
  • Manage and update Primavera P6 schedules to ensure project baseline integrity.
  • Perform schedule impact assessments, scenario modelling, and critical path analysis.
  • Produce summary schedule reports to support project governance, approvals, and executive reporting.
  • Analyse schedule risks, identify project impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Capture estimates for new and emerging work through stakeholder consultation.
  • Support resource planning and prioritisation across multiple project workstreams.
  • Maintain project management software in line with quality management requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project managers, PMO teams, contractors, and key stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Promote best-practice scheduling methodologies and contribute to safe, efficient project delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience developing and managing complex project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of integrated project planning and scheduling within large infrastructure, engineering, or construction environments.
  • Experience conducting schedule impact analysis, scenario modelling, and critical path analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain project baselines while ensuring schedule accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience preparing executive-level schedule reports and project performance metrics.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Desirable
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, transport, rail, or government projects.
  • Knowledge of PMO governance, project controls, and project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Experience using additional project management software alongside Primavera P6.
