Rate: $58.59/hr + Super

Overview:
- Manage assigned Capital works projects from inception to completion.
- Act in accordance with the New South Wales Work Health Safety Act 2011, Work Health Safety
- Understanding of Corporate finance systems such as SAP (Tech1). Working knowledge of operation, the systems and report extraction for the system
- Understanding and experience with project and corporate record keeping and document control systems
- Demonstrated solid working experience as a Project Officer
- Solid working experience in providing project administrative support in a project environment
- High level planning, organising, coordinating and prioritisation skills
- Ability to collaborate and contribute as an effective team member
- High proficiency in MS Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook,
- Current class 'C' driver's licence
- Experience in project administration of civil works.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the provision of quality customer service.
- Coordinate assigned Council projects from inception to completion.
- Co-ordinate all parties involved in these projects including designers, suppliers, utilities, contractors, consultants, and internal project partners to achieve the functional, time and cost objectives of the projects.
- Prepare requests for tender and quotation including standard contractual documentations and reviewing of specifications and drawings for inclusion in tender documentation.
- Project managed delivery of assigned projects from design stage to construction completion including stakeholder consultation and liaison with associated government departments.
- Report regularly to the Manager Works and Projects and other relevant managers and stakeholders.
- This position is required to make informed decisions regarding preparation of project budgets, and other management information, building, civil and environmental engineering practices and procedures on a day-to-day basis.
- Establish and maintain open and cooperative relationships between all contacts both within and outside Council.
- Convene regular project meeting/s with project partners
- Implement the required procurement and scheduling process.
- Identify and prioritise areas of risk within each project.
- Develop (for approval) and implement measures to manage such risks.
- Ensure that each project is professionally managed within defined parameters.
- Perform other duties as required by Manager.
