About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with fire safety expertise
to join a dedicated team managing compliance and performance of fire safety maintenance across a large housing portfolio for a government agency.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing inspections, audits, and contractor performance to ensure high standards and compliance with legislative requirements. This is a hands-on role requiring both desktop and on-site inspections, with occasional travel across NSW (including overnight stays).
What You’ll Do
- Conduct compliance inspections of fire safety maintenance (on-site and remotely)
- Ensure all work meets fire safety standards, KPIs, and contract requirements
- Provide technical advice and translate complex information into clear, simple language
- Build strong relationships with contractors, service providers, and internal teams
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of fire safety maintenance processes
- Proven experience in project management within fire safety, facilities, or building services
- Strong understanding of fire safety compliance and maintenance standards
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and contract management skills
- Willingness to travel for on-site inspections as required
- Relevant qualifications in fire safety, building services, or related field (desirable)
