A local council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project & Commercial Coordinator to support its project and commercial teams.
This role provides essential administrative and financial support across a range of infrastructure and service projects, ensuring documentation, financial processes, reporting, and variations are accurate and well organised.
You will work closely with Project Managers and Project Officers, assisting with preparation of documentation and cost information prior to senior review.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process project invoices accurately and on time
- Raise purchase orders in line with internal procedures
- Assist with documenting and tracking project budget changes
- Monitor project budgets and highlight any cost concerns
- Prepare simple financial reports for project teams
- Ensure compliance with Security of Payment requirements
- Support project close-out, including final documentation and financial checks
- Use Microsoft Excel and SAP to maintain accurate financial records
- Tertiary qualification (completed or in progress) in Business, Commerce, Construction, Administration, or a related discipline
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with project teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and seek clarification when required
