Overview:
Coordination of Council's Section 7.11 Projects infrastructure delivery program from concept to commissioning of works.
- Ensure deliverables and budgets are successfully met.
- Report to Council's Manager Section 7.11 Projects and work closely with Asset Design's drainage and roads teams, along with Council's Property, Legal, construction and development teams.
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- In-depth project planning and delivery experience, preferably gained within large, complex work environments.
- Demonstrated experience in civil drainage, road design, recreation design and construction.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects (typically 5+ years).
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and negotiation.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse team environment and collaborating effectively with support functions reporting to multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to respond to unpredictable risks and manage multiple simultaneous project phases across several projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Senior management experience with a sound understanding of risk management, financial control and political environments within a Local Government context.
- Demonstrated solid experience as a Project Administrator or Project Coordinator within land development and/or infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the processes required to obtain approvals for utility service provisions.
- Knowledge of corporate financial systems and reporting (e.g. SAP).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all activities of the allocated program (project portfolio) team, comprising up to three (3) staff.
- Participate in overall City Assets resource planning and scheduling by understanding the needs and impacts of the allocated program.
- Manage and coordinate all matters relating to the allocated project portfolio.
- Develop effective partnerships with stakeholders and delivery partners throughout project delivery, including identifying and managing emerging risks.
- Participate in client and contractor meetings as required.
- Ensure the timely resolution of client, engineering and management issues.
- Provide regular program and project reviews and reports to the Manager, Section 7.11 Projects.

- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging industry trends and practices that may impact Council projects.
- Undertake site inspections as required.
- Adhere to all Council policies and procedures.
