This local council is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to provide hands-on, end-to-end procurement support across goods, services and works. This temporary full-time role will play a key part in delivering compliant, value-for-money sourcing outcomes in line with NSW local government legislation and Council policies.
About the role
- Manage RFQs, tenders and quotations from planning through to award
- Provide expert advice on procurement pathways, probity and governance
- Prepare tender documentation, evaluation plans and recommendation reports
- Support improvements to procurement frameworks, systems and templates
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver timely outcomes
- Proven experience in a procurement specialist role within a complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of competitive tendering, probity and governance
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities concurrently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with eTendering and procurement systems
- NSW local government or public sector experience highly regarded
