Primary Purpose
The Procurement Officer supports the Procurement Unit in delivering efficient and compliant procurement services across Council. The role ensures all procurement activities adhere to legislative, governance, and policy requirements, while contributing to the timely completion of the annual procurement program.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the Team Leader in implementing and monitoring procurement systems and ensuring compliance and probity.
- Prepare, publish, and manage procurement documents in line with legislation and Council policies (including WHS, insurance, and environmental standards).
- Coordinate and facilitate evaluation of procurement submissions with relevant business units.
- Maintain accurate contract management records, vendor panels, and registers.
- Collaborate with other Council business units to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Procurement Unit as required.
