Contract Role: Storage Infrastructure Specialist (EL1 Equivalent) - ACT (Onsite, 3 Months)
Are you an experienced storage professional with hands-on expertise in Dell PowerScale and Isilon? We're seeking a Storage Infrastructure Specialist
for a 3-month onsite contract in the ACT, optimising a high-performance, large-scale storage environment that supports critical media workflows.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct a full technical audit of the storage environment and provide actionable recommendations.
- Optimise cluster configurations, tiering, and data services for maximum performance and scalability.
- Produce architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, and capacity forecasts.
- Troubleshoot complex multi-protocol storage systems (SMB/NFS) to ensure stability and data integrity.
- Deliver knowledge transfer to ICT teams to support ongoing operational continuity.
- Expert hands-on experience with Dell PowerScale and Isilon (OneFS 8.x/9.x).
- Proven ability to design, administer, and optimise enterprise-scale storage environments.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with storage security, data protection, lifecycle management, and high-throughput workflows.
- Scripting skills (Python/Bash) for automation and data analysis are highly desirable.
