Location: Bankstown
Hours: 25 hours per week (on-site only – no hybrid arrangement)
Work pattern: Flexible across 4 or 5 days to accommodate caring duties, study or other commitments
Rate: 49.32 per hour + Super
Example: 9:00am–3:00pm daily or an agreed alternative arrangement
Key Responsibilities
- Raise requisitions and purchase orders, and reconcile invoices in line with ICT procurement processes and delegations.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the ICT unit, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Manage procurement activities including requesting quotes, raising orders and processing invoices.
- Generate and manage documents such as Excel worksheets, briefing notes, reports, presentations and correspondence.
- Take meeting minutes and prepare agendas and supporting documentation.
- Register, manage and maintain ICT information and records using Council’s document management systems.
- Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets to support continuity of ICT operations.
- Assist the Service Desk and wider ICT team with phone enquiries and walk-in requests as required.
- Support budget preparation, monitoring and reconciliation.
- Assist with procurement, contract management, and asset management (hardware and software).
- Support ICT staff with information coordination, documentation, procedure development and risk mitigation activities.
- Develop practical end-user knowledge of ICT systems supported by the unit.
- Analyse internal processes and user trends to identify and suggest productivity improvements.
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in office administration and operational support roles.
- Demonstrated experience using PC software including Windows, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Cloud and email systems.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to handle complaints effectively and professionally.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Demonstrated commitment to Council’s values.
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- Previous experience in the public sector, ideally within a technology or ICT environment.
- ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management frameworks.
