Communications Controller - Part Time - 21 hours per week
About the role
We’re looking for a passionate Fundraising & Communications Officer
to join our team on a 12-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to help deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and communications that inspire community support and make a lasting impact.
In this role, you’ll lead donor engagement and fundraising initiatives, create high-quality content, and help tell powerful stories that connect people with meaningful projects. You’ll work in a supportive, flexible environment that values creativity, collaboration, and purpose.
Key responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective donors.
- Plan and deliver fundraising campaigns, including the Annual Giving and EOFY appeals.
- Coordinate supporter and donor events to increase engagement and retention.
- Develop and distribute compelling content across digital platforms, including eDMs, newsletters, social media, and websites.
- Support marketing activities to raise awareness and grow community support.
- Assist with grant writing, submissions, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate donor and financial records to meet governance standards.
You’re an energetic and organised professional who loves connecting people to causes that matter. You bring creativity, initiative, and a strategic approach to fundraising and communications.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or communications(preferably in the not-for-profit sector).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling.
- Strong digital and social media proficiency.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
