As a Finance & HR Business Analyst for this government department, you will play a key role in supporting large-scale transformation initiatives across financial services, HR operations, IT, and business processes. You’ll analyse business requirements, map processes, assess service impacts, and deliver insights that shape decision-making and organisational strategy.
This role is Parramatta-based and ideal for someone with solid experience in business readiness, process improvement, and shared services environments.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, analyse, and document business processes, systems, and data to drive operational efficiency.
- Support business readiness activities for Finance, HR and IT transformation projects.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and commercial outcomes.
- Investigate issues, analyse options, and recommend improvements for services, systems, and business processes.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple project streams in a fast-paced environment.
- Support change impact assessments, risk identification, and interdependency management.
- Produce clear, high-quality documentation including process maps, requirements, and recommendations.
- Contribute to best-practice adoption across the organisation.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst across Finance and/or HR
- Experience supporting transformation projects (finance, HR, IT, service management)
- Strong process documentation and process mapping capabilities
- Ability to translate complex analysis into meaningful insights
- Experience managing diverse stakeholders and supporting change initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities
Desirable:
- Experience in shared services, payroll, AP/AR, or government operations
- Knowledge of Finance & HR transactional processes
